The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) has signed individual agreements with the National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP) and Board of Investment (BOI) in the Islamabad. The agreement indicates that the PITB will implement the Human Resource Management Information System (HRMIS) which will greatly assist both of the government departments.

Two ceremonies took place, in one of them DG IT-Operations Faisal Yousaf signed the agreements representing PITB. On the other hand, DIG Operations Mazhar-ul-Haq Kakakhel signed it on the behalf of NHMP, finally representing BOI, DG Administration Sajjad Hussain signed the MoU.

Senior officials from NHMP including DIG Operations Mazhar-ul-Haq Kakakhel, Addl IG HQ Khalid Mehmood, Addl IG Planning Development and Restructuring (PD&R) Sajjad Afzal Afridi, and some other notable seniors were present.

The first agreement was signed with NHMP, under which HRMIS will be developed for optimum utilization of human resources at NHMP centers across Pakistan.

The second agreement was signed with the BOI for the automation of the entire human resource system. The attendants during this meeting were Executive Director General (AS/EDG-1) Mukarram Jah Ansari, AS/EDG-2 Khashi-ur-Rehman, and other senior officials.

HRMIS has been introduced in multiple government departments in Pakistan now. The HRMIS helps to replace the outdated Human resource practice with a new tech-driven efficient system. This will help digitize all the human resource data and operations including, employees’ records and attendance, transfers, postings, promotions, and retirement, etc.

The main objective of the HRMIS is to allow transparency and authenticity in the day-to-day work processes.
