Out of the streets of Pakistan, a local Paratha-maker has won a bronze medal in the International Kickboxing Championship which was held in Russia, Moscow. Nisar Ahmed was able to achieve this feat by beating a Tajikistani kickboxer for the 3rd position in the men’s 52kg weight class.
When Nisar got picked for the kickboxing Championship he was unable to afford the travel expenses. Nisar was only earning around PKR18,000 a month from the Paratha’s he sold. Ready to give up on his kickboxing dream, things took a turn for the best. A vlogger named Hassan Baig interviewed Nisar, who then shared his story and his struggles. Right after that a lot of people showed their intent to help Nisar achieve his dreams.
Eventually, he was sponsored by a Federal Minister, which allowed him to make his trip to Moscow.
Nisar then went on to win the bronze medal in the Russian capital. He thanked his supporters on his Facebook page, “Alhamdullillah, in International kickboxing championship Moscow, got a Bronze medal for Pakistan. Thank you so much all friends for supporting me”
