The Meta owned popular instant messaging platform WhatsApp is releasing new update for Android beta testers out there, introducing the new UI and the default message timer. Moreover, changes related to the multi-device system have also been spotted, WABetaInfo reported.

The WhatsApp update tipster reported that the company has released the default message timer, so users can begin the new chat threads with disappearing messages already enabled.

“Today, WhatsApp is releasing the ability to set a default message timer for more people and they can also set 24 hours and 90 days as new expiration times for disappearing chats,” WABetaInfo informed, adding that users can enable the default message timer in their privacy settings.

This means that users will be able to set default message timer for contacts. They will also be allowed to set 24 hours and 90 days as new expiration times for disappearing chats.

Meanwhile, the new UI being rolled out by the company for beta testers will show the contact info differently.

Additionally, the messaging platform is introducing new changes for multi-device system for more beta testers, released after the 2.21.23.10 beta update.

“As mentioned in the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.21.23.10 changelog, these changes allow WhatsApp to stop sending notifications when the security code is updated every time the linked device list is changed,” the WhatsApp update tracker said.

However, the users will not be able to opt-out of the multi-device program. It is being reported that WhatsApp is removing the option to opt-out from the multi-device beta and some beta testers can even user the system without joining.

The stable version of the version has not been rolled out as of yet, but the company automatically enabled the feature for some beta testers.
