As part of a series of events marking the 70th anniversary of diplomatic ties between China and Pakistan, the Pakistani Embassy in Beijing organized a cultural festival featuring mouth-watering Pakistani cuisines, traditional handicrafts and folk music.

Pakistan Ambassador to China, Moin-ul-Haque, and his wife Farah Moin hosted the event that was attended by a number of people including diplomats, media representatives and members of the Pakistani community.

An exhibit showcasing Pakistan’s landscapes, historical monuments and indigenous communities was also displayed.

Talking to Former Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan, Lu Shulin while talking to APP said that autumn is considered as one the best seasons in the Chinese capital and added that this event would play an important role in further cementing all-weather friendship between people of two countries.

Professor Intikhab Alam, an eminent Chinese scholar of Urdu, writer and poet, also participated in the event.

Earlier this month a cultural festival was held at Qingdao in which Chinese school children performed Pakistani songs and dances.
