It’s been almost a week since cinemas have opened all over Pakistan for fully vaccinated people but many were understandably disappointed on discovering that it might be a while before any new local films are released. However, the wait might finally be over thanks to filmmaker Abu Aleeha who confirmed that Khel Khel Mein will be the first movie to be released after the reopening of cinemas.

“Thank you to all our fans for being so patient,” the actress wrote, sharing a poster. “Filmwala Pictures is excited to announce the first Pakistani film to be released post Covid-19 and upon opening cinemas nationwide.”

Khel Khel Mein is set to hit the screen on November 19, 2021.

Sajal Ali has promised that the “wait will be worth it.”

According to director Nabeel Qureshi, filming wrapped up in July, after nearly two months. Khel Khel Mein is produced by Nabeel himself and Fiza Ali Meerza who have delivered several hit films, including Na Maloom Afraad 1 and 2, and Load Wedding.

This is the first time actress Sajal Ali and actor Bilal Abbas will be seen on screen together.

Another eagerly anticipated crime thriller Javed Iqbal: The Untold Story of a Serial Killer directed by Aleeha is expected to be released in December.
