Downtime for Facebook and its affiliated apps made headlines last week with two major outages in the same week.

Apparently, the issue has not entire been resolved. On Monday, Instagram users reported having access issues to the photo sharing app.

The Downdetector website, which tracks disruptions in online networks, showed that user complaints spiked at around 3:30 p.m. EST.

WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger are down too.

Problems were reported in multiple countries including the United States, Netherlands, Germany, Spain, United Kingdom, Canada, and to a lesser extend in Russia.

More than 60 per cent of the users affected reported problems accessing the smartphone app, with some experiencing server connection issues and problems with the website.
