A fake covid-19 vaccine entry under the name of former Pakistan premier Nawaz Sharif has been made in the National Immunization Management System (NIMS) at the Government Kot Khawaja Saeed Hospital on September 22.
According to the fake entry, the PML-N supremo, who is currently in London, got his first shot of the vaccine at 4:03 pm Wednesday at the hospital.

“It is hereby requested to kindly investigate and take necessary action against the fake entry on the name of Muhammad Nawaz Sharif in the National Immunization Management System,” read the letter.
Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has also sought a report from the health department concerning the matter, within the next 48 hours. Usman Buzdar has also directed relevant authorities to take legal action against the officials found guilty.
US okays Pfizer Covid booster for the elderly and high-risk

“Today’s action demonstrates that science and the currently available data continue to guide the FDA’s decision-making for covid-19 vaccines during this pandemic,” said Janet Woodcock, acting head of the Food and Drug Administration.
The decision came after an independent expert panel convened by the regulatory agency last week voted in favour of recommending the move.
England’s top medic says covid-19 transmission highest in children
Chris Witty, the England’s Chief Medical Officer has said that the current covid-19 transmission is being driven by the children, without vaccination almost all 12 to 15-year-olds would get infected at some point.
“There is definitely substantial transmission happening in this age group. In fact, the age group we’re talking about is the one in which the highest rate of transmission is currently occurring, as far as we can tell,” Whitty told lawmakers at a session about the decision to offer covid-19 vaccines to children aged 12-15.
Whitty said that the recommendation focussed purely on the benefit to children aged between 12 and 15, and had not been made for political reasons or for the benefit of more vulnerable adults.
