SeePrime original’s short film, Prince Charming has been released on YouTube.

The short film that stars Mahira Khan (Shehrazade) and Zahid Khan (Akbar) as her husband is about a lonely woman struggling with mental health who’s distant husband seems all concerned about her “not missing her appointment” but is not bothered at all about her emotional needs.

We see Shehrazade stuck in a never ending cycle of housework as she readies her daughter for school and makes breakfast for her husband but in between all this, she yearns and fantasizes. She imagines her husband romancing her with poetry and wants her fictive husband to just… hold her tight. For a little while, she lives in her own isolated world with her fictive husband or “Prince Charming.”

It is revealed that she is suffering from an illness, that she might be… “sick in the head” as a parent of her daughter’s school friend called her but Shehrazade dismisses this. Later she asks her husband if he wants to catch a movie but he tells her he’s busy.

Prince Charming, is a naturalistic portrayal of humdrum routine and marital doldrums that you don’t want to miss. It is eleven minutes of absolute brilliance.
