WhatsApp has released a new 22.214.171.124 beta update, in which the app has added a new user interface for calls and group calls for Apple iOS users, WABetaInfo reported.
With this new interface the messaging app has now made it easy for the users to find the options during a call. Moreover, as per the screenshot shared by the online web portal, the mobile app also shows a “Ring button” at the bottom of the screen. The ring button is quite similar to what appears on Apple’s Facetime app.
Aside from these features, the latest beta update now also allows users to join group calls that they might have missed with just a tap, if the call hasn’t ended.
If a user fails to respond to a group call’s invitation at the moment it is received, the app will then enable the user to join the group call the next time they open WhatsApp, by just tapping on the ‘Tap to join’ label below an ongoing call.
Currently, the new feature is only available for iOS beta users and it will soon be made available for Android beta testers too.
According to WaBetaInfo said, “WhatsApp is rolling out these features today, be patient to see them enabled for your WhatsApp account.”
