To ensure that our youth have a well round personality and leadership skills they require a lot more than just bookish knowledge. The Lahore Students Union (LSU), is an initiative that is trying to help the youth develop these skills.
LSU is a youth center for community service, extra-curricular activities and educational counseling. Their community service programme is currently in its third year, and has placed 500 plus student volunteers at 50 plus NGOs and Civil Society Projects across Lahore, as well as providing support and mentorship to a growing number of student initiatives in diverse areas of social development. In their educational counseling services, they cover counseling for college admissions, and public speaking, Model UN and parliamentary debate coaching to individuals and schools in Lahore, Faisalabad and Islamabad.

The platform is offering a chance to young individuals across Pakistan to be a part of their Youth Social Leadership Program (YSLP) this summer. LSU YSLP is an extension of LSU Community Service Initiative (LSU CSI), which supports LSU CSI volunteers and other motivated students and young professionals to initiate their own social projects. So far, LSU has supported over 15 social projects, some of which are now registered NGOs. To qualify, the candidates must have prior volunteer experience with an NGO, youth social project, a low income school or running their own project in the community.
If you are interested to apply, send a 1 to 2 page written proposal to their email address (email@example.com) which should include your project title, idea, project team and area(s) or location(s) where you plan to implement your project.
