The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) in a top level meeting with the key members has decided that an external company will be selected to manage the biosecure bubble for the remaining games of the Pakistan Super League, which are reportedly said to take place either in May, September or December 2021.
The meeting was held in Karachi on Friday, a day after the tournament was suspend due to covid-19 cases that emerged inside the bubble. Eight individuals including foreign players and PCB officials tested positive for coronavirus earlier this week, which led to the postponement of the event.
The meeting discussed various possibilities of when and how to hold the remaining PSL games.
As per reports, it has been decided that only one city will host the remaining matches in the three possible windows under mentioned above.
The availability of the players will be checked with the franchises before reaching a final conclusion on on dates for the remaining matches, a private media outlet quoted a source as saying.
Meanwhile, regarding the biosecure bubble management outsourcing matter, the board is said to choose a company that has experience of making such arrangements. The matches will either happen in Karachi, Lahore or Rawalpindi.
