Prime Minister Imran Khan will be inaugurating the cricket stadium in Attock district during his day-long visit to Hazro tehsil of Attock district today.

Along with the cricket stadium, the premier will also be launching the plantation drive in the district.

As per reports, a total of 10,000 trees will be planted around the vicinity of cricket stadium. The PM will be accompanied by Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Climate Change Malik Amin Aslam.

SAPM Malik Amin had earlier announced to construct 10 new cricket grounds in his constituency last week, during his visit to the area, under the clean Green Pakistan.

Meanwhile, the 2021 spring tree planation drive was inaugurated by the prime minister on Thursday during a ceremony held in Islamabad, where he planted a sapling as well. The ceremony was also attended by interior minister Sheikh Rasheed and Senator Faisal Javed.

Imran Khan was also brief by Malik Amin about the spring plantation drive and presented the recommendations for the spots to initiate the plantation campaign.

The prime minister after planting the sapling said, “It is our target to plant 10 billion trees in Pakistan after completing the plantation of 1 billion trees across the country by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP)”.
