The foreign players who will be taking part in the sixth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) have started arriving in Karachi with only a few days left for the tournament to begin.
As per the reports, foreign players including Karachi Kings’ Head Coach, Herschelle Gibbs and squad members Chadwick Walton, Colin Ingram and Noor Ahmed have so far reached the port city. Peshawar Zalmi’s Head Coach, Darren Sammy has also arrived in Karachi on Friday tonight.
While all cricket players from Islamabad United, Quetta Gladiators and Lahore Qalandar will also visit Karachi.
All players arriving for the tournament will be tested for covid-19 once the whole squad assembles. When the reports are cleared, the players and other officials will shift to a bio-secure bubble till their training session starts on February 15.
The first match of the PSL6 tournament will be held between Karachi Kings and Quetta Gladiators on February 20.
Meanwhile, Peshawar Zalmi Captain, Wahab Riaz, Shoaib Malik, Imam-ul-Haq and Kamran Akmal have joined the team.
Other than these players, Ravi Bopara is reportedly said to arrive in Karachi today (Saturday), while Rutherford and Mujeebur Rehman will be in Karachi on February 14, Sunday.
